Chocolate Protein Smoothie Recipe with Julianne Sawyer

This creamy, chocolate smoothie features Shroom Shield to help boost your immunity and stay stress-free. Follow along to get to know the creator of the recipe, Club Golde’s Julianne Sawyer (@juliannecsawyer)!

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup non-dairy milk 
  • 1 tbsp. Shroom Shield
  • 2 scoops chocolate plant protein powder 
  • 1 large frozen banana 
  • 1 tbsp. peanut butter
  • Handful of fresh spinach
  •  

     

    Instructions:

    1. Add all ingredients to a blender! If you aren't using a frozen banana, add a cup of ice cubes 

    2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy

    3. Pour into a glass and sprinkle some Shroom Shield on top

    4. Add a reusable straw, sip, and enjoy!

    Hey, I’m Julianne! I’m a freelance writer, content strategist, and app producer living on Maui with my husband and our orange kitty, Buddy. I spend my days writing content for companies that I believe in, planning beach picnics with friends, and scoping out the next fun thing to do on Maui. After work, you can find me taking a dip in the ocean or on a long walk with a podcast.

     

    What is your favorite GOLDE product and how do you use it? 

    Ooh, do I have to pick a favorite? It’s close, but I think the Papaya Bright Face Mask is my favorite Golde product. I use it about once every two weeks and the glow after I wash it off is unmatched. 

     

    What is your Golden Hour? 

    The hour after I wake up is my golden hour. Since my freelance clients are all in California, I try to keep west coast hours—which means my workday starts around 6 am here in Hawaii. I love waking up right at sunrise and making a matcha or turmeric latte and sipping on it while I shower and do my skincare. Even though I start working early, I always prioritize my slow and intentional mornings.

     

    Looking back at the past year, what was the biggest lesson you learned?   

    I entered a new decade of my life in 2020: my 30s. My 20s were all about city living, hustling, and putting the hours in. Now, I’m grateful that I’ve reached the stage where I can relax and enjoy living the slow life. The biggest lesson I learned this past year is that the present moment is all we have. Life is happening now, so enjoy it.
